RECENT FINDS- Costco

RECENT FINDS- Costco

Our first Costco venture was last night on date night! We had never been inside one before, but I knew from friends that it was a good stop for bulk ingredient items. This is just a quick post to share what we purchased!

  • organic peanut butter, 2 pack
  • organic cane sugar, 10 pounds
  • organic brown sugar, 10 pounds
  • organic raspberry jam (Sweet Husband’s find!)
  • almonds
  • organic frozen broccoli, 4 one pound bags
  • potato chips fried in avocado oil, 22 ounces
  • Havarti sliced cheese, 32 ounces
  • organic rice, 20 pounds
  • Excedrin, 300 count (I am hoping to be able to quit taking these, but unfortunately I currently need them a couple of times per month)
  • toilet paper, 20 rolls

What are your Costco faves??

Fun! I don’t have a card but when I’ve gone with family I like to get their almond butter, avocado oil, organic coconut oil, pure vanilla extract, organic all purpose flour, frozen fruit, Nuts, chocolate chips, cheese… There’s more but that’s what I’ve thought of!

The hubby has gone with a friend to Costco using their card. (We have a Sam’s membership, but he’s considered switching to Costco.) They have lots of fun cheeses, especially for things like a charcuterie board! For those who imbibe, he has also noted that their store-brand alcohols are less expensive and have a good quality taste when compared with name-brand counterparts.

Welcome to
Honey and the Hen!

Currently I don’t have any bees (or honey). We do have meat chickens now – yay!
And we also recently purchased 20 laying pullets. I live with my Sweet Husband and 3 kids in Central Illinois. I love homesteading, homemaking, and homeschooling. We are thankful to be saved by grace in Jesus and seek to follow Him and His Word. I am originally from Tennessee and one of six children, using much of my upbringing in what I do and love now. I enjoy learning, growing, and keeping my home with enthusiasm as unto the Lord. We garden and hope to raise more of our own food as we can. Thanks for stopping by!
