HANDMADE- infused vinegar spray

Vinegar is amazing! Use it to cook. Clean with it. De-clog with it… the possibilities are endless! This spray is used for cleaning and takes about 4 weeks to infuse.

Time Commitment: 10 min, wait 4 weeks

Skill Level: beginner

INFUSED VINEGAR SPRAY

Materials Needed:

  • white vinegar (5% acidity)
  • fresh, clean pine needles
  • jar and tight fitting lid
  • spray bottles

You can fill your jar with orange peels for this also, if you prefer.

Instructions:

  • Fill the jar with clean, dry white pine needles.
  • Cover in vinegar.
  • Put lid on jar and gently shake.
  • Place in a dark place for about 4 weeks, shaking 2-3 times per week.
  • At the end of 4 weeks, strain off vinegar and pour into spray bottles.
  • Label and gift!

How simple is that?! I made these as stocking stuffers one year for our extended family. Very quick, but takes the 4 week infusing time. So!… go and make some today! Add a cute towel and place in a small basket. Stockings, hostess, white elephant, mail carrier, teacher… you see? Perfect!

Oh my goodness! Never in my life would I have thought of that! I think of “pine” as a scent… didn’t really think of grabbing some of the needles from our yard to make something yummy! 😉 Thanks for the idea!

Currently I don’t have any bees (or honey). We do have meat chickens now – yay!
And we also recently purchased 20 laying pullets. I live with my Sweet Husband and 3 kids in Central Illinois. I love homesteading, homemaking, and homeschooling. We are thankful to be saved by grace in Jesus and seek to follow Him and His Word. I am originally from Tennessee and one of six children, using much of my upbringing in what I do and love now. I enjoy learning, growing, and keeping my home with enthusiasm as unto the Lord. We garden and hope to raise more of our own food as we can. Thanks for stopping by!
