APRIL- Challenge III

APRIL- Challenge III

Is it that time again? Wow! These weeks are passing too quickly.

CHALLENGE III: choose one place in (or outside) your home to declutter. I do not generally like trendy words and phrases. But, decluttering is a term we can all understand and, hopefully, get behind.

How do I go about this? Feeling overwhelmed at the prospect? I completely understand. Maybe these ideas will help:

  • kitchen junk drawer
  • bedroom closet
  • tupperware cabinet
  • office/mail space
  • kids room/closet
  • bookshelf
  • refridgerator
  • garage (entire or just a cabinet)
  • kitchen countertops

Do those places sound like places you need to tackle? Are these spots in your home in need of attention?

Start by emptying! Don’t put anything back that you don’t need or aren’t using. Have 3 spaces: keep, trash, donate! Only touch these items once- time management! Start slow! If you aren’t in the habit of doing things like this, don’t tackle a whole room at once. One small step at a time.

I’d love to hear how these challenges are going for you! Like? Don’t like? Please comment below and give me some feedback. Happy Cleaning!

We “decluttered” our back garden area this week. Whew! That was a lot of “clutter” (a.k.a. weeds). Glad to have it looking lovely for Spring! :)

Oh yes! That’s an excellent feeling. Makes me want to ‘add’ again tho…. Haha! Is that still decluttering?

Welcome to
Honey and the Hen!

Currently I don’t have any bees (or honey). We do have meat chickens now – yay!
And we also recently purchased 20 laying pullets. I live with my Sweet Husband and 3 kids in Central Illinois. I love homesteading, homemaking, and homeschooling. We are thankful to be saved by grace in Jesus and seek to follow Him and His Word. I am originally from Tennessee and one of six children, using much of my upbringing in what I do and love now. I enjoy learning, growing, and keeping my home with enthusiasm as unto the Lord. We garden and hope to raise more of our own food as we can. Thanks for stopping by!
