It’s a rainy kind of Friday here and I am loving it! For lunch, I made a favorite staple of ours: sourdough deep dish pizza. It’s definitely one we repeat every few weeks.

With the pizza comes sauce! And, as I have mentioned, I can our own tomato sauce. This sauce becomes quite a kitchen staple in our home throughout the year. One fun use is this pizza sauce! After many trials, I believe I have the recipe that we like most!

I generally can this sauce in pints or quarts. Lately, I have been adding these simple ingredients, quickly stirring, and adding to our pizzas! I use one pint for a pan of deep dish pizza.

You can use store bought sauce in this also! For one pint, I add: 2 tsp. cane sugar, 1 tsp. sea salt, 1/2 tsp. garlic powder, and 1 tsp. Italian seasoning. That’s it! You can tweak it to your tastes. It can become a pasta sauce with less sugar and additional onion powder!
